2011文学概论复习参考答案

When I was a little girl, I had many dreams about what I would like to be when I grow up. But, what interests me most is a job that can make a lot of money, for I wanted to buy a lot at that time. So I eagerly wanted to be a scientist, which I believe is a promising career and at the same time satisfies my vanity. However, when I was in the senior high school, I just realized that since I have no head for science, I chose the art without thinking any further.

Time flies. I’m a college student now and become more rational, because I know more about myself. I know how to refer to myself when I make a decision. I know when I should turn to others for help. I know what I can do to improve myself. I know what I am qualified to do. I know how to keep calm whenever I confront any troubles.

As an English major, I pay close attention to the occupations related to my specialty. I’m not clear about what it comes in future and I have never decided to take on just only one job during my lifetime. I can’t agree with the view that a man should devote himself to one career any more while he should learn as more as he can. But, in my mind, I just want to be a teacher which is not simply an educator but an educationist, which I consider is not a rewarding job but beneficial work. I can enhance myself when I teach, in the meanwhile, maybe I can make great contributions to the cause of education. This point attracts me most.

Then, at last, I want to talk about the word ‘ ideal ‘ which means you have the ambition and possibility to make it is quite different from the word unrealistic with the meaning of something that you just think of it but it never comes true. In my opinion, as long as you work hard, everything is possible even though there is no less challenging or difficulty. On the contrary, nothing is possible if you ever make an effort no matter how great you idea is.
